Alexa Mamani Calsin: GUARDIAN of the first seed of Libros Con-Sientes Project and the "Muyuy Schools Network"
By Ladoyska Romero - Jun 23, 2021
"Fly, fly and fly with us". That was the feeling of Ladoyska and her sisters Karen and Kantu as they connected with the heart of Alexa Mamani.
A year had passed since the magical encounter with Mama Anselma. Ladoyska returned from her trip to Europe with the clear vision that it was time to start materializing her life mission. In November 2019 she decided to return to the magical Amantani Island in the company of Thomas Wallstein. The reunion with the energy of Lake Titicaca immersed her in an ecstasy of gratitude; everything she had experienced in her life up to that moment was guiding her to that mission. She had the smile and look of mother Anselma captured in her memories, the reunion with her was the sensation of being at home.
After a rest and a delicious lunch, Ladoyska talked with mom Anselma and her daughter Alexa. Until then, they had only exchanged greetings with Alexa, but this space was conducive to awaken Ladoyska's curiosity to learn more about the young woman.
The passion and strength of spirit that Alexa transmits when she talks about her mission in education and her commitment to her community is worthy of imitation; she is a professionally trained educator and from a very young age she was aware of her mission: together with her brothers, Abel and Juan Carlos, she helped her parents in the space they created at home to help the girls and boys of her community with their homework. Alexa believes in education with love for a conscious change in the world; she remains firm in this commitment, relearning and accompanying illiterate young adults who want to learn to read and write and, although they have limited resources, she manages to keep them dreaming.
Ladoyska's heart was pounding because she recognized that together with Alexa they would weave the tribe on Amantani Island. Upon returning to Cusco, Ladoyska told her sisters Karen and Kantu about her experience of the reunion with mother Anselma and her daughter Alexa, and the decision she had made: the first seed to be sown would be on that magical island.
Some time later, other trips were made to Amantani Island to continue building the steps of this mission of service and love. In one of those visits, Karen and Kantu personally met Alexa and resonated in their souls that Alexa was the guardian of this first seed and was part of the tribe.
